Description: We are selling this lovely old Chinese figure of a seated Buddha. This figure appears to be late Sung dynasty … more We are selling this lovely old Chinese figure of a seated Buddha. This figure appears to be late Sung dynasty based on the attire of the Buddha, although it could be as late as early Ming. The Buddha is carved from a medium density fruitwood, it appears similar to in grain to Huali.

Condition: Heavy surface wear with losses to original surface. Missing a hand and damages to the other hand as well as other damages throughout. Rotting to back of the figure where there was a cutout.
