The vintage black lacquered tray has been delicately painted depicting a single bird on branch surrounded by a two inch red rusty border. The varied colors within the piece consist of a rusty red, a vibrant brick red with pewter and gold tones throughout.
The makers mark is "Made in Japan" on back. Due to commensurate of time the tray does exhibit wear and tear, but adds to its charming character. The tray is made for decoration only and not considered food safe.
This piece is a "keeper" if you're a collector of birds, (like me!), or Asian inspired design. Styled on a buffet or as wall art it would make a lovely addition to your home.
