A very historical piece, this lamp is made of a 40mm “Bofor” artillery shell, which was used to target planes … more A very historical piece, this lamp is made of a 40mm “Bofor” artillery shell, which was used to target planes in WW2. The shell itself is inert/empty and cannot be rendered “live” so is perfectly safe (it’s a glorified piece of brass at this point)! The lettering from the round can be viewed through the colored lucite base. The lamp has been completely rewired and comes with a new, but 1950s style drum shade. One of a kind. I can’t even begin to imagine the history behind who made it and kept it in their home…

The piece will come with a shade with an UNO attachment (fits around the socket) as well as an extra harp so you have fittings for your favorite shade.
