This is a Great Looking & Very Unusual Authentic Antique Parrot Cage. Circa Late 19th Century. American in Origin. The Open Design and Large Perch Confirms that it Would have Housed a Larger Size Bird as Smaller Birds would been to Able to Escape. There is Also a Large Carry Handle on Top of the Cage for Transport Purposes. I believe that it Could have Possibly ? Been Used in a Circus or Other Stage and Performing Settings. It is Completely Hand Made out of Steel. The Exterior has Hand Painted - Decorated Features. The Interior Perch and Floor - Base are Made Out of Wood. Condition - It has Been Used for Years in the Distant Past and is Weathered & Worn Giving it a Wonderful Authentic Rustic Look. Displays Nicely.
