Swedish Birch Bedside Tables, 1940´s, Set of 2. This is a very rare pair of bedside tables or nightstands made from curly birch most likely by SMF Bodafors in the late 1930´s early 1940´s. The design is Functionalistic with the aim of simplicity and clean look. Axel Larsson is most likely the designer behind this pair. Swedish functionalistic furniture were very often made in birch, flamed birch or curly birch. The nightstands are in very good condition with minor wear and marks. They measure 51 cm in height, 55 cm wide and 34.5 cm deep. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
