This Really is a Great Looking and Quite Rare Authentic Antique French Druggist - Apothecary Jar. Circa Approx. 1900. It is Made Out of White Hard Paste Paris Porcelain. The Front Reads in Latin EXT : MANDRAG Indicating that it was to Contain Genus Mandragora - Mandrake Plant Root Extract. NOTE That Mandrake Root has a Centuries Old History of Being Used for its Very Interesting Multiple Medicinal Purposes. A Simple Computer Search on the Subject will Surely Prove Informative. The Scene on the Front has an Elaborate Assortment of Beautifully All Hand Painted - Decorated Multiple Color Features that Includes a Lake with Plants, Berries & Flowers ? as well as Two Intertwined Snakes Holding a Chalice. It is in Excellent All Original Condition and it Displays Beautifully. No Damage.
It Measures Overall Approx 9 1/2 inches Tall x 4 3/4 inches Wide - Long.
