A good English brass 2-day (54 hour) Marine Chronometer in a 3-tier Brazilian Rosewood case, made by John Campbell, Liverpool and numbered 1070 on the dial.
It has a 3.5-inch silvered dial. There is a subsidiary second’s dial and a 54-hour up/down dial, each with black metal hands. The fusee movement has an Earnshaw-type escapement, compensated cup balance, and is supported in a gimballed brass bowl with sprung winding-shutter. The key is mounted towards the rear of the 3-tier Brazilian Rosewood case, bound in brass with brass carry handles. The glass in both lids is intact and the movement is in full working order.
Chairish sells clocks only with display as the intended use. The mechanical elements are not guaranteed to be in working order by Chairish. less
