Bronze mounted leather top over crotch mahogany, with slim octagonal legs terminating with brass ferrules. Solid brass rail surrounds the top, with clipped corners. The original finish on this lovely piece has a chameleon-like quality; in low light it is subdued and somewhat dark, but in direct sun the flame grain really sings, giving the whole a rich, warm, saturated glow. We have tried to capture this versatility by photographing in various lights. One functioning dovetailed drawer, with included working lock and key.

Good vintage condition with of course the usual nicks, scraps, and scratches. Of note (and shown) is a small circular indentation at the base of one mount, and light scraping to the upper portion of one leg. The leather top shows heavy wear, but presents extremely well as all-over patina.

The piece has been cleaned and lightly polished. Ready to place. less
