A vintage 1960s hand-blown cream and gold glass basket bowl. The bowl has cream/gold colored glass cased in clear glass, with two ends pulled up into basket handles. The underside has been ground and polished flat.
The sticker on the underside reads, "Vetro Eseguito Secondo La Tecnica Dei Maestri Di Murano" which roughly translated means, "Glass made in the style of the Murano masters." In other words, it's not authentic Murano glass, but glass made in neighboring Venice, Italy, in the 1960s. Glass factories such as this one employed many former Murano glass blowers who had studied and learned their craft in Murano glass factories.
