Elegant, beautiful and unusual vintage Stiffel bronzed brass floor lamp from the mid 20th century. Handcrafted in the United States.
This is a fabulous, solid brass lamp with bronzed patina. It can be used as a floor lamp or oversized console table lamp, and stands 40.5” tall from the base to the top of the original milk glass torchiere shade. It has been updated with a new power cord but all other components are original.
The width at the bottom measures 7.5" square beneath the octagonal stepped base, with the top of the brass column completing the reach to 17". Above the bronze base is a faux candle column topped with the milk glass shade.
The lamp uses two switches: a standard three-way turn switch near the top, and an on/off push switch at the base, which can be used conveniently by foot.
The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition, with a classic graceful, Grecian influenced, open scroll-based column. Timeless Stiffel lamps are handcrafted in the United States, and always high quality. This lamp dates from the late 50's Hollywood Regency-style era, when Stiffel produced some of the finest examples ever made.
