There is a small #41 on the lid and on the body of the box to keep the pieces together when they were made, the painting is complex on this box, with the Rose Canton design since each color is done one at a time and fired. It measures 1/8”Deep x 4 1/8”W x 2 1/8”H. I like old trinket boxes for gifts, they look nice displayed together or on a bedside table to keep your jewelry when you take it off, or they’d be great on a low table in the living room for your guests to enjoy. This one looks great on display with Rose Canton Porcelain, I would put a large plate in a stand with at least 1- 2 more pieces of the porcelain and the box. With the similar motifs and color, it makes for an interesting display. See less
