*Lecour was born in Kankakee, but moved to New York as an adult, where she raised her son and daughter. When she moved back to the area in her 40s, she began painting. She said she has been painting seriously for about 20 years. The best part for her was the interaction with her customers. Lecour is a past Kankakee Art League president and was involved with the Community Arts Council. She exhibited at past Wright in Kankakee shows, at the Community Art Council's gallery in Northfield Square mall and in Presence St. Mary's Hospital. Painting the feminine was one of her passions. She loved highlighting her friends, often in vintage outfits, surrounded by gorgeous flowers or scenery. less
