Rococo-style design with cast shells, flowers, leaves, and scrolls.
Eight-day gong striking movement with Brocot adjustment for the pendulum.
The clock is in original working condition and slightly shows aging.
White dial: Roman and Arabic numerals inscribed with 'V. depose'.

Origins and history:
AD Mougin was a renowned French clockmaker who worked during the mid-nineteenth century. He primarily made clocks in the French clock-making region of Montbeliard, which is located near the Swiss border. However, he also had a shop on Rue de Turenne in Paris. His clocks were so exceptional that he won two gold medals at exhibitions, and he used these medals to create his trademark that features the words "Deux Medailles." Typically, this trademark is stamped on the back of his clocks.
