Iconic and large ceiling lamp with hexagonal steel frame and gray and white frosted glass elements; the massive gray elements are trapezoidal and have been ground and chamfered at the edges; the round concave glass in the center has the function of diffusing the light evenly; the exposed frame is steel, while the part that looks at the wall is enameled white color and has a step to keep the whole ceiling lamp spaced from the wall so that aesthetically it looks lighter and suspended. Inside, easily accessible, is the lamp holder with three housings for the bulbs the wires of which come out of a hole on the back, also on the back are two other holes to easily attach the ceiling light to the wall, which can be placed on the ceiling or used on a wall as a wall sconce. The ceiling light was produced between 1970 and 1973 in an artisan workshop in Milan in perfect Fontana Arte style, a company that inspired many manufacturers large and small. The prestigious Fontana Arte company was founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti and specialized in glassworking and the production of furnishing accessories, a prominent name in Italian design.
