This elephant reminded me of the lovely encounters I had with animals while in Africa, so I purchased him and … more This elephant reminded me of the lovely encounters I had with animals while in Africa, so I purchased him and let him sit on my desk for a bit until I got him ready to sell. He's a happy, little guy with signs of age, and he is affixed to a brass base. He'd make an excellent addition to a bookshelf, desk, or side table. Because of the heft of the piece, it also seems to be made of solid brass.

One point to note (that I didn't notice when I purchased it) is that his tusk has been broken and repaired at some time. I don't feel that it detracts from the piece, and my pricing reflects that he is loveable yet flawed. less
