Solid mahogany wood frames with highly detailed marquetry wood inlays throughout. Meticulously turned front facing federal legs and flared back tapered legs. Kidney shaped upholstered seat back with self covered buttons over a harp-like back adorned with wooden cartouche cameo with marquetry inlays of scrolls and filagree. Complete marquetry surrounds, high quality workmanship throughout. Upholstered seating made of silk fabric in deep red over antique white base with matching ric-rac and twisted cord trimmings. High cushioned seat with boxed pillow cushion.
In very good preowned used condition, this pair is of unknown origin and era. Resembles 19th Century mahogany marquetry workmanship with Edwardian - Federal style furniture designs. less
