Large 1850's Kashmir Paisley Tapestry Blanket Shawl Handmade Embroidered Fringe Edges
A beautiful hand sewn, elaborately embroidered, Kashmir paisley Tapestry, blanket, shawl. 19th century wool of traditional design {the boteh or paisley shape} surrounding a central medallion, with multiple borders. Always considered a luxury item these shawls have been collected and worn by women for centuries. It was passed down through generations of family members since a 7x great aunt from the 1850's. It is an antique and may need some laundering/refreshing.
