Abstract original oil and mixed media painting titled "Hells Doorknob" by American artist Bruce Robertson (1959-). The ability for the viewer to glean a different meaning from the piece when studied, is what makes it so appealing. The artist's layered use of strips of newspaper, oil paint and highlighted strokes of white chalk give the piece wonderful texture and a captivating color palette of flesh tones against contrasting black with blush and turquoise accents. Matted in an off-white woven linen and covered with plexiglass. Slightly inset with a brushed gold border and matching frame. Signed "BR" in the lower right corner. The tag on the back has the title, artist and original price of $1400.
