Dragonflies … Read more Ivory porcelain transferware inkwell with attached saucer tray with gorgeous Aesthetic Movement decoration in brown and deep teal green. Dragonflies and water lily pond scenic motif. Manufacturers mark G.D. Paris (believed to be Georges Dreyfus), and stamped with the numbers 1016 on the bottom. A fancy addition to any calligrapher’s or calligraphy lover's desk. Fantastic condition for age with no chips or cracks, some light ink staining in the interior of the well and on the well cup, and a small factory firing blemish on the top of the lid, pictured. Likely dates to the Aesthetic Movement or Arts & Crafts Era, late 1800s - early 1900s. See less
