Incorporating scenes similar to those found in the Rose Medallion pattern, but with numerous differences, most notably the clever design layout into quadrants where the borders and their daintily painted contents form a significant design element of their own. Handsome carved wood lamp base. Silk shade. Second half of the 19th century.
