The carved frame has a distinctive serpentine crest and apron with gracefully curved wings on each side of the seat. The arms measure 24 inches high conjoining to a seat with a fitted loose cushion. The settee has vintage upholstery that still shows well and is very presentable in a striped pattern fabric having soft earth-toned shades that stand out boldy against the rich walnut frame. Solid and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
