This exquisite 18th-century George III style glass decanter showcases exceptional craftsmanship with its elegant design. The neck features flat finger flutes, transitioning to comb flutes at the midsection, and detailed panel fluting along the lower half to the base. This neoclassical decanter is a fine example of glassmaking from the period, with subtle air bubbles throughout, characteristic of 18th-century glass.
The decanter remains in excellent condition, free from chips or cracks. There are spots of cloudiness at the inside bottom, and the underside base shows surface abrasions, consistent with its age and use. The original bullseye stopper fits well and adds a refined touch, though it does have some minor fleabite chips and surface scratches, as seen in the photos.
A stunning find, this piece would make an elegant display in any home or collection, fitting into classic, antique, or Georgian-style decor. Perfect for those who appreciate fine antique glassware and historic elegance.
