In addition to the quality of the hand-painted decorations, the bottom of each plate reveals 3 points at which the clay underneath the glaze is visible, likely from resting on a stand while being painted. The uncommon crescent shape lends itself to different arrangements on the dinner table; these would be great for snacks, salads, or desserts. See less
