Offering a vintage pair of Italian alabaster tetra-decahedron bookends, circa 1950s. A tetra-decahedron is a polyhedron with 14 sides. Both bookends retain their original: Made in Italy labels, although one label is illegible due to age. These heavy bookends are a rare and hard to find vintage item, because of their unique design, size and weight. This design is popular among architects and scientists. Most likely, these were designed by renowned architect Angelo Mangiarotti.
VERY GOOD CONDITION, some scratches and flea bites. Please see photos.
