German, 19th/20th century, featuring exquisite hand-painted classic provincial scene with lady and gentleman painting at an easel, elaborate floral decoration, gilded accents, white and celeste blue ground, signed D. Theobald - T.
The circular porcelain charger mounted with reticulated brass rim, ornate sculptural scroll flourish gilt bronze handles, rising elegantly on pierced gilt bronze feet.
Marks:
Porcelain verso marked with Meissen style crossed swords in blue underglaze, with an illegible word over it, possibly France?, impressed "10/2" or "1012". Bronze handles stamped "PS". Artist signed D. Theobald - T.
