This superb figural bronze desk bell of Austrian origin was created by the famous Austrian artist Friedrich Gornik (1877 - 1943) around 1920 and features the portrayal and likeness of an Irish Setter, Golden Retriever, or Labrador. The base resembles natural soil and the actual push button is shaped as a bone for the dog and is hand-carved out of stag antler. Gornik's works of art are highly sought after and found artworks by him for art prices that fetched US $ 6,000.00.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Austria.
DATE: Around 1920.
BY: Friedrich Gornik (1877 - 1943).
MARKS: Artist's signature "F. Gornik"
MATERIAL: Bronze. Stag antler push button.
