This is an extremely rare original poster from the first Earth Day, April 22, 1972. Designed by Jerry Rotondi and Bob Matheo. An identical version is in the Yanker poster collection (Library of Congress). This poster was sold to raise funds for Environmental Action. It bears the original fold marks and has most likely been cut down to fit the frame at 30" x 20" as the original OFFSET LITHOGRAPH measured 36 in HIGH x 23 in WIDE.
This poster is part of American political history and original pieces from 1972 are at this point only found in museums.
