This is a beautiful bronze gilded malachite clock of the 19th century. The status is of one of the Thinkers … more This is a beautiful bronze gilded malachite clock of the 19th century. The status is of one of the Thinkers of that century or even a prior century, with a book at his feet authored by Kepler. It is a worldly piece of decor that will speak volumes to the intellectual collector. Clock has traditional claw feet with a scroll topping it and a laurel wreath to the left. Internal workings of clock marked with "Establishment H. Molle, Paris 1094.' The style is noted to be one of the Louis Kings. The face of the clock is enamel with Roman Numeral #'s and could use a touch of cleaning as there are some smudges. The clock works, but runs too fast, so will need a clockmaker to set the beat appropriately. (not sure if a pendulum is needed to do so as it does not have one now). Chimes every half hour. Includes 2 keys to wind the clock. A beautiful work of art!

Measures 18 1/8", 6 5/8" deep, 15.5" tall.
