Abstract Mixed media painting 'Like a Hurricane' by Artist Jason Stallings. Created in Dallas. Originally started in 2010, and later finished in 2016. This painting began when the artist briefly lived in Austin, TX. It started out with the artist repeating their signature in a pattern and abstracting around that pattern. Later the artist would draw on musical influences to approach the rest of the painting from an improvisational standpoint.
This painting has been included in a dual exhibition with artist Jacqui Sommerman.
Primarily acrylic, pastels, and some oil paint. Made up of reds, teals, and yellows.
Painted on a gallery wrap canvas.
Signed by the artist in the lower right-hand corner.
