A sterling silver tray by Dominick & Haff, active from 1868 until 1928 in New York, New York. Dominick and Haff was a high-end silverware manufacturing company. The tray features a round squared off design in an octagon shape. Very rare shape. Features a trellis background with flowers and garlands on each panel, and bellflower and floral engraving descending to a smooth center. With a scrolling foliate motif repoussé rim, possibly acorn or berry details and exquisitely monogrammed with the initial "G" in "Old English" font in the center of the tray. It is hallmarked on its underside in three places. (photo) In good condition but with surface scratches and two minute indents extremely hard to see. All photos under high magnification. All marks are pictured. Platter lightly polished, we leave a deeper clean to the new owners discretion.
