I have recovered the stool seats with new teal color stretchy faux velvet with elastic fitted covers I found on Amazon- they fit perfectly! The original (1950s?) seat covers are blue striped and intact underneath. Use as-is, reupholster to your preference of fabric, or pick your favorite color from Amazon I will send you the link! less
