- When I first saw this lamp in a Los Angeles vintage showroom, I thought it was real coral, bur it … more When I first saw this lamp in a Los Angeles vintage showroom, I thought it was real coral, bur it is a manmade substance that has been used in the sculpted creation that has all the attributes of real living coral. It feels like real coral and it has to be seen perhaps felt to appreciate what's gone in to creating this beautiful mid-century lamp. It's large in structure and it's the various shades of blue that adds to the life-like creation of the faux-coral that's been created, leading to the intrigue of the all over affect of this fabulous lamp. I found it in a vintage store while shopping in West Hollywood, California less
