A Marwari stallion expressing his spirited and fiery personality. The unbridled force of nature against the stunning earthy dusk tones of the horse and desert in this image are captivating.
Originally bred in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in the 12th century, the Marwari is a rare and ancient breed of horse. With its fierce loyalty and courage, it has shaped destinies and won wars. While there are many folk tales and legends that surround this desert horse, it has come to symbolise endurance, nobility and freedom.
To preserve the unique Marwari bloodlines, the indigenous breed has been totally banned from export for decades, recognised as highly valuable due to their great historical and cultural significance to India.
