Constructed in the style of Sheraton, initially I thought this … Read more This is a beautiful handcrafted drop-leaf Pembroke table circa 1830. Constructed in the style of Sheraton, initially I thought this table was English, but the wood feet/ends of its tapered legs make me suspect it may in fact be from New England (-as was "usual" with many tables from that area during this period.)
This table has one long hand-cut dovetailed drawer opposite a false draw, both have matching brass hardware. Made from Satinwood and Walnut the table top has intricate cross banding and a simple yet stunning oval inlay pattern at its center.
The leaves have been wonderfully constructed with butterfly hinges / wood hinges.
All in all this table is a rare collectors item as well as being a unique practical item to complete a room or space.

Measurements: 30 1/2" width x 27 1/2" height x 19" depth. (It is 38" wide when the leaves are opened)
It weighs approximately 30lbs.
