We are proud to offer this remarkable Louis XVI Neoclassical Style Inlaid Oak Commode or Chest retaining its Original Marble Top.
Original highly figured marble top in attractive shades of orange with rounded corners atop an oak commode with two drawers over two larger, long graduated drawers, all with diagonal oak veneers and nice inlay with decorative ring pulls with embossed backplates. Ribbon and festooned escutcheons. Corners of cabinet are rounded, conforming to top, with gilt bronze ormolou mounts in the form of rams heads above decorative fluting. Tapering legs ending in foliate bronze caps.
