Nickols Takis original art. Mixed media on board measuring 22 x 15". Composed of watercolor, acrylic, oil and ink. Titled both "Grey Study" and Girl Smoking" and dated 12/15/1944 on verso. Signed TAKIS L.R.
An early work that was part of a portfolio of his works. There is a possible gallery stamp on the back which reads ROBINSON, 120 HALSTEAD AVE., HARRISON, NY (NO ZIP CODE). There is a $1000 price on the back that appears to be in marker (1970s?).
Done in the Cubist style. There are some color splotches that may be intended or not. The main figure is in black with white additions.
