Beautiful large hand painted Chinese porcelain tobacco jar with lid. This piece came from the region of Macau which is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong.
Porcelain production in Macau dates back to the 16th century. This piece is a Qianlong Dynasty inspired reproduction that was likely made in the 1960's. It features the Asian Rose Faille PINK Floral and Bird theme known as Famille Rose. Glossy interior, heavily embossed hand painted exterior. Lovely colors including apricot, green, pink, and blue.
