massive is a belgian manufacturer that was created from the de jaeck family business. Pieter-jozef de jaeck founded a bronze foundry in wilrijk, where he also produced chandeliers. In the 1970s, his son eddy joined him and they began producing lamp sockets on an international scale. In the 1980s and 1990s, massive was the leader in lighting fixtures in belgium and western europe.
