This wonderful set features a small fish-mouth vase and a tapered lidded dish with handle. Marked Thomas Germany - Papageno. The finish has a matte charcoal glaze which pairs nicely with the milky porcelain inside. These feature the coveted Papageno pattern which was designed by French-American industrial designer Raymond Loewy. The caged bird motif shows different graphics on each side of both dishes - one with a cylinder shaped cage and the other with a cone shaped cage. These are great conversation pieces that fit with any number of styles, including mid-century modern.
