Theodore Demung Jones (1846-1926). Watercolorist born in New York and active in San Francisco in 1906 painting scenes of Chinatown. He died at the Soldiers Home in Los Angeles.
This piece is of a period Chinese child in traditional dress. Calligraphy banner (Wen Tsai from Tang Dynasty) painted top left. Signed in pencil by artist lower right. Calligraphy on lower right matte as well. Not examined outside of frame. less
