Late Victorian period ornate bridge arm floor lamp features sculptural metal leaves enveloping the socket and a pull chain terminating in a porcelain finial. The articulated socket attaches with a ball joint for versatile, directional lighting. The bridge is a curvilinear composition of scrolls atop mushroom-shaped ornaments followed by a brass pole embossed with a repeating abstract foliage pattern, which meets more mushroom-shaped ornaments before joining with the most ornate part of the whole: a pierced base of neoclassical images such as sashes, tassels, scrolls, and oval shields. The overall design is feminine and floral-inspired.
Lamp base is 10.5" in diameter.
The bridge arm to socket is 13.5" wide less
