A vintage canvas is painted over with multiple layers in a soft hue of colors.
Old money is the focal point of this piece, a recurring theme in the artists most recent work. Funny and poignant the heads are a collage of old coins from around the world. They represent a metaphor for the world being co-created by all countries and cultures. This is the first painting created for that series.
The matting has been hand painted , and between the layers of matting are decoupaged old paper money around some of the edges.
The frame is vintage and silver spray painted on some parts to give a modern finish.
About The artist Cheryl Fudge:
In 2021-2022, Cheryl did an entire makeover of the iconic AMERICAN SEASONS restaurant on Nantucket, MA. She was commissioned to hand paint almost every inch from the floors, bar, ceilings, to every chair in the dining room. American Seasons has 8 pieces of her art in their permanent collection featured on the walls throughout the restaurant.
In Dec 2022, she created all of the art for a humanitarian exhibit for Ukraine for CONTEXT Art Miami.
In 2023, She did art popups throughout the summer on Nantucket, MA. She is doing a one woman show summer, 2024 on the iconic Nantucket lightship boat turned into a luxury yacht.
The boat will then travel from Nantucket to do a show in Providence, RI. less
