This 9x12 Swedish rug design is from the flatweaves in the Scandinavian rug collection by Rug & Kilim. Handwoven in wool, its minimalist design is inspired by Rollakhan and Rya rugs in the Swedish Deco style.
On the Design:
This new flat weave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. Our use of quality wool lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion. The choice of colors, too, explores their retro feel in a more refreshing quality. This particular flatweave features gray, white and mauve purple tones underscore serrated geometric patterns with a fun, funky look.
Our flat weave further enjoys a thick, more durable body than any flat weave in high-end rugs. It’s a hallmark of our Kilim design, and another contemporary contribution to the Scandinavian aesthetic that sits comfortably anywhere. less
