A ladies' writing desk inspired by the Louis XV style, dating back to before 1939. The furniture stands on tall curved legs and features a slanted top that closes with a hinged mechanism. The interior includes small drawers, a shelf, and a compartment hidden behind a sliding panel at the desk's base. The top of the furniture is adorned with a brass gallery. The entire piece is richly inlaid with brass applications.
The furniture, after restoration, is finished with shellac polish. less
