1975 Vintage Gf Business Equipment, North Carolina Upholstered Chrome Legged Armchairs- a Pair

Due to the excellent appearance of these chairs we almost missed out on them assuming they were recent Chinese made … more Due to the excellent appearance of these chairs we almost missed out on them assuming they were recent Chinese made knock-offs, but fortunately the tags are still intact, and they state that they were both manufactured on January 2nd, 1975 in Forest City, North Carolina by the GF Business Equipment company. The chairs have little wear to the fabric, and the chrome is in amazing condition. Top to bottom: One of the top black edgings has two spots to the left where the rubber has split, and the other is fine. The back-side of both chairs has some light wear to the paint, but on the whole they are good. The upholstery is very good, save for some small discoloration spots that may or may not be removable. These are faint and do not stand out. The fabric is in excellent condition as far as wear is concerned. There is virtually none to be found, and there are no rips or pulls. The arms are very good with no damage to be found aside from the inside of the right arm of one chair that has wear on the edge. All looks fine otherwise, and they are wobble free (as are the chairs as a whole). The chrome on the pedestals running down the legs is in exceptionally good shape with a nice shiny finish and very few blemishes. The least attractive leg is one of the back ones that has just a hint of corrosion, and the rest are very good, even on the tops of the legs where people occasionally rest their feet. The black portion of the legs is very good for the age but does have some light scrapes, and the feet are looking good, even the undersides that hit the floor.
