FULL GREEN VINE 5" Creamer
Smooth, No Trim (c 1940s)
This is quite a lovely piece: A Meissen (Germany) creamer in the "Full Green Vine" pattern, smooth shape (not scalloped), and with no trim, just a solid white body. It has an elegant shape, with one of the nicest handles I've ever come across in years of seeing dinnerware. The design is shown on the replacements site under item 148492.
The creamer measures 5 inches high at the top of the handle, 4-3/8 inches high at the spout, and 1-7/8 inches wide across the round foot ring. It is in excellent condition, with no signs of use or wear. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing.
The bottom shows a blue crossed swords mark, plus a letter or number that I can't quite make out. The piece was purchased by the great aunt of a friend of mine who was visiting Germany in the early 1950s.
