Pierre Bideaux were a … more This is a beautiful glass dome clock, made in the late 20th century by Pierre Bideaux. Pierre Bideaux were a Chinese company who at the time were making modern / Quartz versions of the old German Anniversary clocks. Bideaux clocks are now wonderfully retro and chic. This quartz clock keeps time fine. (It requires one AA battery (not included).) HOWEVER, the 4 suspension/pendulum balls do NOT move, but as said the clock keeps time fine.

Also of interest is the fact that this clock was sourced at the Sony Prop House in Los Angeles which closed down in September 2023. It has an old Sony label and markings on it, so if you think you may have seen this clock in a film or T.V. show, then you probably have! I have no C.O.A. other then the Sony markings which I assume were added so as not to lose the clock on a studio set somewhere.

This clock is rare, and beside its practical time-keeping use, just as it is, it makes a wonderful accent/ conversation piece.

Size: 7 3/4" diameter (at base) x 11 1/2 height.
It weighs 1lb 13oz.
