The … more A beautiful Golden gilt tea set with 22k gold detailing in the Napoleon III-style of Peterhof Palace (Petrodvoretz)-St. Petersburg. The Imperial Porcelain Factory was founded in 1744 by Empress Elizabeth I to “serve native trade and art.” It is Russia’s first porcelain manufacturer, and the third to be established in Europe. . In Europe, Russian porcelain came to be colloquially known as “white gold” because of its secretive nature of production and high price. Initially, foreign talent was imported into Russia in order to facilitate porcelain production, as ordered by Peter the Great.
Tea Set was acquired in t. Petersburg-Russia in 1980.
Sadly, our tea set is incomplete due to moving our inventory recently. Price adjusted accordingly.
