This james Dean Foundation rare vintage 1995 iconic Roy Schatt black and white 1954 photo collector's poster is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. Published in an unnumbered limited edition by Pomegranate calendars & Books with the licensed authorized rights of The James Dean Foundation, printed in 1995, poster design by Mark Koenig. The collector's poster features an iconic black & white photograph image of Hollywood actor james Dean by the photographer Roy Schatt, photographed in 1954.
Roy Schatt ( 1909 - 2002 ) the American photographer is best known for his remarkable photographs of james Dean with whom he developed a special friendship. As a fellow actor, and with great interest in photography, James Dean formed a special bond with Schatt and wanted to learn art from him. During the course of their friendship cut short by Dean's tragic death Schatt captured the iconic " Torn Sweater " series portraits from which this photo was a part of.
The rare out of print vintage collector's poster measures 24" W X 36" H. It is in brand new vintage condition, with very light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
