This Robert Rauschenberg rare out of print vintage 1976 lithograph print poster " America : The Third Century " is an outstanding very special and unique print of a captivating original artwork to add to your collection. It features an original artwork created by Rauschenberg in 1975 titled " Deposit ", from a series commissioned by Mobil Oil Corporation for the Bicentennial of The American Revolution in 1976.
Robert Rauschenberg ( 1925 - 2008 ) id recognized as one of The 20th Century's most influential and prolific artists. He is credited with binding the gap between the movements of Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art. A pioneer of the " Transfer Drawing " process, he experimented in technologically sophisticated combinations of photographs and drawings. He is highly regarded as a Modern master of mixed media and collage. The works are layered and transcend the 2 dimensional format for the viewer. Artworks by Rauschenberg are included in the permanent collections of more than 70 of the worlds most prestigious museums.
